PINE STATE BISCUITS

2204 NE Alberta St. Portland, OR

Always a line up at Pine State!

We don’t have anything like this in Vancouver, so every time I visit Portland I always stop in at Pine State for some real American cooking.

Good-looking restaurant, fun vibe.

So, as usual, we went to Pine State and stuffed our faces. Biscuits, gravy, fried chicken, collared greens, grits, cheese…. all of it.

If you are on a diet… do not enter this establishment. Unless you have enough will-power to only eat collared greens and cole-slaw…..

Unless you can resist the smell of fluffy, buttery, fresh biscuits…….

Here’s what we ate:

The Chatfield (Fried chicken, bacon and cheese topped with apple butter)

The Reggie (Fried chicken, bacon & cheese topped with gravy)

Shrimp ‘n’ Grits

Biscuit with Egg and Cheese

Delicious, as usual. Felt a little queasy and greasy on the drive back to Vancouver… but that’s to be expected after an intense food experience.

NOM NOM!
