THREE JEWELS

Very excited about this new Vietnamese restaurant on Commercial Drive. Three Jewels has a small menu, but it’s got all the favorites.
Pho, bun, spring rolls and even bubble tea! This is not your traditional Vietnamese restaurant. There is no tripe or tendon on the menu, in fact, they don’t serve meat at all. Three Jewels uses fake meat. I’m not sure exactly what the stuff is made out of, but the texture and taste is almost exactly like meat.
Special Vegetarian Noodle Soup is their version of traditional Pho, but with vegetables it’s tastier and healthier. We also tried the Vegetarian Spicy sate noodle soup which was peanutty and delish.
And of course we tried the spring rolls…
And an Avocado Smoothie for dessert? OK!
Cheap, healthy vegetarian Vietnamese food? Yup, I’m into it. I’ll definitely be coming back. NOM NOM!
