Commercial Drive finally got an oyster bar!! It’s about time! And guess what? It’s pretty good!
Located in the spot formally occupied by Divino Wine Bar, this is a primo corner location with a sweet patio. We went during my favourite time of day: Happy hour! Every day from 5:00pm to 6:30pm Merchant’s serves buck-a-shuck oysters! Yummmmm!
Besides the delicious, fresh oysters, Merchant’s also has a small tapas menu. Between us we tried the steak and potatoes, scallop potatoes, seafood sausage with saurkraut, tagliatelle, steamed sole and the chocolate terrine.
Nom nom!
Besides all the delicious food, we also had some lovely Negronis, and Bourbon Sours. Merchant’s Oyster Bar gets a big NOM NOM from me… I will definitely be spending many “happy hours” on this patio!!
